Predictions
Popular Vote:
Obama - 53% (+?)
McCain - 41%
Electoral College:
Obama - 364
McCain - 174
Senate:
Dems +7
final tally of 58 - including the Quisling from Connecticut
(I wish they could get to 60 without including LIE-berdouche, but oh well)
House:
Dems +23
So, let's meet back here on Wednesday to see how I did. I may have some posts tomorrow, but I'm expecting to be glued to the Tee-Vee all day

Map Fun!
More fun with maps. With the pulldown menu on the right, you can look at past elections (all the way back to 1932!) or at the various polls for 2008 and what each would mean for the electoral college distribution.
Vital Info
So, I'm thinking that we'll know for certain that Obama is our next president by around 9:30 or so EST, unless the bobbleheads start calling states earlier than their posted closing times. Which, if returns are as lopsided as I expect them to be, is entirely possible. Which also means that I'll be going to bed knowing the next president on election night for the first time since 1996, and I'm not sure I was even paying attention on that one. The fact that the next morning will give us the over-the-top Left Coast returns will just bury the McSame/Moose-a-lini ticket deeper in the dust-bin of history and bring a smile to this lefty's face as he enjoys his coffee.
I have a show election night, so since I won't be able to sit glued to the Tee-Vee watching returns all night (dammit they are making me work!) I plan to go right around the corner after my show is over to Times Square and either watch the returns roll in on the big screens and news tickers until the election is called or go celebrate President Obama with several thousand of my fellow anti-American, traitorous, lib'ruhl, terrorist-pallin' friends.
God Bless America.

Can this be true?

Indiana? Toss-up?
Nevada? Blue?
Montana, North Dakota & Georgia, soft on McCain?
I hope this is true. It will depress my father beyond measure and will potentially cause my mother to lock herself in the basement (if they had basements in Texas) in quivering, FOX-induced fear of the rampaging brown hordes that will surely be roaming the streets with unchecked impunity in B. Hussein's America looking for soft, white female faces to carve letters into.
Well, I must get my marching orders from Hussein HQ, so I'm heading down there tomorrow. So much defiling to do, I need clarification where to start.

I did it (and you can, too!)
I volunteered for the Obama campaign yesterday. I went to their offices in lower Manhattan and made phonecalls to the good people of Pittsburgh. Cold-calling people who might yell at me or call me an ugly name was WA-A-A-A-A-A-AY out of my comfort zone, but I did it because it needed doing. One day following a storm, a man was walking along a beach. The beach was scattered with clams – all victims of the storm. There must have been thousands, if not tens of thousands of clams just on this stretch of beach. The man felt bad – but what could he do?
Farther down the beach, the man saw a young boy – running, bending, and throwing. As the man got closer, he saw that the boy was picking up one clam at a time and throwing it back into the ocean.
As the man got close to the boy, he stopped him and asked -
“What are you doing?”
“I'm saving them” - the boy responded.
“There's far too many to make a difference”
The boy reached down and picked up another clam, hurling it as far out into the water as his young arm could throw. He smiled, looked back at the man and said:
“I just made a difference to that one”
Please consider doing the same.
If you live in a state that is fully "in the bag" for one or the other, then spend some time calling another state that may be at a tipping point. What possible difference could that make? Well, because I called yesterday, an 83-year old woman named Frances who just had surgery and "don't get around so good anymore" but really wants to vote for that guy named Obama is going to get a ride to the polls on election day.
How 'bout that?
Volunteer.
We can't let the thieves, thugs and sociopaths who've been running this country for the last eight years have four more to finish stripping the place bare.
Volunteer.
